WSC Q.1: What is the chief end of man?

Man’s chief end is to glorify God, (1 Cor. 10:31, Rom. 11:36) and to enjoy him for ever. (Ps. 73:25–28)

WLC Q.1: What is the chief and highest end of man?

Man’s chief and highest end is to glorify God, (Rom. 11:36, 1 Cor. 10:31) and fully to enjoy him forever. (Ps. 73:24–28, John 17:21–23)

 

These support scriptures seem to show that we enjoy Him, but I’m struggling to see in them the explicit connection to our purpose.
