God cannot be known without His self-disclosure

• We need God’s aid to rightly interpret what He has disclosed in General and Special Revelation - Romans 1:18, Romans 1:21, Romans 1:25
• Extraction of knowledge of a subject without the subject’s willing participation requires more power than the subject and is still only partial - unlike many other objects of study, we are not above the object studied.  We are dependent on the object for our study.  And in this case, completely dependent.
